Eidetikos, PBC ("Eidetikos", "we", "us", or "our") is a Delaware public benefit corporation conducting artificial intelligence research. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard personal information when you visit eidetikos.com (the “Site”), correspond with us, or request access to our confidential materials.
This Policy does not govern our software products, which are covered by the terms and documentation provided with those products. Where a signed agreement between you and Eidetikos addresses the handling of information, that agreement controls to the extent it conflicts with this Policy.
01Information You Provide to Us
We collect the information you choose to submit through the Site. Depending on the form you use, this may include your name, email address, employer or organization, job title, postal address, links to professional profiles or work samples, the role you are applying for, and the contents of any message, application, or inquiry you write to us.
If you execute a non-disclosure agreement in order to access confidential materials, we additionally collect the identifying details you enter, your electronic signature, and the date and time of acceptance, in order to create and preserve a record of the executed agreement.
We do not ask you to provide, and we ask that you do not submit, sensitive categories of personal information such as government identification numbers, financial account numbers, health information, or biometric data.
02Information Collected Automatically
When you visit the Site, our hosting infrastructure automatically records standard technical information as part of delivering and securing the service, including your IP address, browser type and version, device and operating system, referring page, the pages you request, and the date and time of each request. This information is used for security, abuse prevention, and diagnosing technical problems.
We do not operate analytics, advertising, behavioural profiling, or third-party tracking scripts on the Site, and we do not build advertising profiles about you.
03Cookies
We use a single strictly necessary cookie. If you enter our private materials area using a valid access code, we set a functional cookie so that you remain authenticated for the duration of your session. We do not set advertising, analytics, or cross-site tracking cookies.
Because we use only strictly necessary cookies, no consent banner is presented. You may block or delete cookies through your browser settings, though doing so will prevent access to the private materials area.
04How We Use Information
We use personal information to respond to your inquiry or application; to evaluate and administer requests for access to confidential materials; to prepare, execute, and retain records of non-disclosure agreements; to communicate with you about our research, projects, and openings where you have asked us to; to operate, secure, and improve the Site; and to comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
We do not use personal information to make decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects about you by automated means alone.
05Legal Bases for Processing
For individuals in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and other jurisdictions with comparable law, we process personal information on the following legal bases: performance of a contract or steps taken at your request prior to entering a contract; our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and developing our business, evaluating candidates and partners, and corresponding with those who contact us; compliance with legal obligations; and, where applicable, your consent, which you may withdraw at any time.
06How We Share Information
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We disclose personal information only as described here: to service providers who process it on our behalf and under contract; to professional advisers such as counsel, auditors, and insurers; in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections; and where we believe in good faith that disclosure is required by law or necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Eidetikos, our users, or the public.
Our service providers currently include our website hosting provider and Resend, which delivers form submissions to us by email. These providers are authorized to use personal information only as necessary to provide services to us.
07International Transfers
Eidetikos is established in the United States, and personal information you provide is processed in the United States. If you are located outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in a country whose data protection laws may differ from those of your jurisdiction. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses, for such transfers.
08Retention
We retain personal information for as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, and thereafter as required to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Correspondence and inquiries are generally retained while a relationship is reasonably in prospect; application materials are retained for a reasonable period following a hiring decision; and executed non-disclosure agreements and their acceptance records are retained for the term of the agreement and the applicable limitations period thereafter.
09Security
We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction, including encryption of data in transit and restriction of access to personnel with a business need. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you; to request correction of inaccurate information; to request deletion; to object to or request restriction of certain processing; to request a portable copy; to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent; and to be free from discrimination for exercising these rights.
California residents have the rights described in the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended, including the right to know the categories and specific pieces of personal information collected, the categories of sources, the business purposes for collection, and the categories of third parties to whom information is disclosed. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined in that Act.
To exercise any right, contact us using the details in the Contact section below. We will verify your request before acting on it and will respond within the period required by applicable law. You may use an authorized agent where the law permits. If you are in the EEA or the UK, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.
11Do Not Track
Because we do not track visitors across third-party websites, we do not respond differently to browser Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signals. Our practice is not to engage in the tracking those signals are intended to limit.
12Children's Privacy
The Site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
13Third-Party Sites
The Site links to third-party websites, including projectfinch.com and external resources referenced in our research and press materials. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites, and we encourage you to review their policies.
14Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date shown above. If we make material changes, we will provide a more prominent notice on the Site. Your continued use of the Site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
